George II figured walnut chest of drawers
A tall, narrow George II chest in beautifully figured walnut, with the golden colour and patina that only two and a half centuries can give.
Description
Two short drawers sit over five graduated long ones, all veneered in thick, hand-sawn, book-matched English walnut of lovely figure. The brass plate handles and escutcheons are complemented by steel locks, and the drawers are pine lined, just as they were made in the early eighteenth century. The chest stands on bracket feet. It has been fully restored and wax polished, and every drawer runs as it should. It is clean throughout and ready to go straight into a room.

Where it lives
Tall and narrow, it gives you seven drawers of storage without asking for much floor. Made for a bedroom, but handsome enough for a landing or drawing room.
